Obituary of ELSIE FINCH

FINCH, ELSIE HELEN FINCH, Elsie Helen (nee Carter), of Port Dover passed away at St. Peter's Hospital, Hamilton on Monday, September 24, 2012 in her 82 nd year. Predeceased by her husband John (2003). Cherished mother and mother-in-law of David and Debbie of Grimsby, Thomas and Ingrid of Lowbanks and Judy and Gino Conte' of Hamilton. Dearly loved grandmother of Marian, James, Jeremy, Brian, and Angela. Much loved sister and sister-in-law of Roy and Phyllis Carter of Simcoe and Beth and Don Loucks of Simcoe. Predeceased by her sister Betty Currie and grandson Jonathon. Elsie was a very active member of the community, she was a volunteer at Norfolk General Hospital, a member of Woodhouse Horticultural Society and a former member of Silver Lake Rebekah Lodge # 150. She was a devoted member of St. Paul's Anglican Church and active in the Chancel Guild as well as St. Pauls Club and the Church WA. Friends are invited to meet with the family to share their memories of Elsie at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME, 102 First Ave., Port Dover 519-583-1530 on Sunday, September 30, 2012, 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm. A Funeral Service to celebrate Elsie's life will be held Monday, October 1, 2012 at 11 am at St. Paul's Anglican Church (St. George and Market Sts.) Port Dover. Father Kendall Reimer officiating.
