Obituary of Carol Wicker

WICKER, Lila "Carol" (nee Marshman) passed away at Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 in her 85th year. Cherished mother of Jeremy Wicker and his partner Marie Ireland. Dearly loved sister-in-law Lynn Nigh. Much loved aunt of Peter Nigh and his children Eric and Sofia, Laura Murphy and her children David, Ryan (Natalie) and Katie. Will be fondly remembered by her friend and helper Jill McConnell and her family and neighbours John and Marilynn. Carol will be sadly missed by her much-loved fur babies Missy and Molly. Predeceased by her husband Barry, parents Lorne and Mina Marshman, parents-in-law Allan and Peggy Wicker and brother-in-law David Nigh. Carol was a long-time resident of Port Dover. She, along with her husband Barry and son Jeremy, owned and operated Wicker Insurance. She was a teacher for many, many years. Carol was community minded, and belonged to many clubs and organizations that were instrumental in community building. She had many friends in different circles and always loved spending time with them. She will be missed by all who knew her. Services to honour Carol's life will be held at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME, 102 First Ave. Port Dover 519-583-1530 on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. Visitation from 11 am to 12 noon, and service at noon in the funeral home Chapel. The Reverend Sheena Marini officiating.
