Obituary of Karon Darlene Bobo
BOBO, Karon Darlene (nee Clement) of Port Dover, passed away at Norfolk General Hospital Simcoe surrounded by family on Friday, April 11, 2025, in her 78th year. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Stephen and Bobi Bobo of Cayuga and Mark Bobo and Kim Szabo of Delhi. Loving grandmother of Ciera, Matthew, Dillon, Blake, and Nathan, great-grandmother of Elias and Faith. Dear sister and sister-in-law of David and Elizabeth Clement of Winnipeg and Sharon and Ernie Haywood of Port Dover. Predeceased by her husband Roger (2007), parents Archie and Edith Clement, brother Daryl Clement, sister Diane Clement and her husband Doug Johnstone. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Karon was a Port Dover girl through and through and never ventured far from its shores for very long, spending her senior years living with her twin sister, Sharon, in their childhood home right on Main Street in the town she loved so much. She never let the many hurdles she faced in life deter her from being there for others in their time of need. She was always a soothing presence, caring for others with a smile that would hide anything she may have been enduring in her own life. She exhibited great strength and bravery for a woman of her size. The old adage that good things come in small packages definitely described her. She was a caring and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt, always at the center of the family that meant everything to her. She was the heart of many family traditions that will continue on for generations. The family would like to thank the ER and trauma teams at NGH, Dr. Naas and the ICU team as well as the palliative care team for the care and consideration shown to Karon and the entire family. Thanks as well to Senior Support Services and the home care teams that made her last couple of months at home possible. Family and friends are invited to share their memories of Karon at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME, 102 First Ave., Port Dover 519-583-1530 on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm. A Funeral Service to honour her life will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at 1 pm at St. Paul's Anglican Church (Market and St. George Sts.) Port Dover. Bishop Barry Clarke officiating. Interment Port Dover Cemetery. For those wishing, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Diabetes Canada would be greatly appreciated.
