Obituary of Christopher David Stanley

It is with profound sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Christopher David Stanley. He was taken from us on the evening of September 30, 2025 as the result of motorcycle accident. Proud father to Roman, and cherished son to Rachelle and Michael Stanley. He will be lovingly remembered by his sisters Sarah (Nigel) and  Katie (Daniel). Loving uncle to Zachary, Jackson, Mackenzie, and Valerie. Chris will also be deeply missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends whose lives he touched. Chris was a man full of life, energy, and love. He had a deep compassion for all living things, especially animals. Chris was known for his sense of humour—he had a way of making everyone around him laugh. His smile and laughter were truly contagious. He had a generous heart and would go out of his way to help others. Gifted in so many ways, Chris excelled in athletics from a young age. He was a natural in hockey, lacrosse, and track. Beyond sports, Chris was a talented artist who could turn anything into a canvas. He also enjoyed composing music and loved sharing his creations with the people closest to him. He was also a proud member of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades. Through every season of his life, Chris’s biggest champion was his mom. Rachelle’s  love and devotion to her son were unwavering, and she did everything in her power to make his life better. Friends are invited to share their memories of Chris during visitation at Thompson Waters Funeral Home, 102 First Ave., Port Dover (519-583-1530), on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. A service to celebrate Chris’s life will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel, with Bishop Barry Clarke officiating.
