When John was 18 months old our father died and we moved to bungalow near our grandfathers farm .For many years mum brought us up on her own . Although money was scarce we had a happy childhood ,spending a lot of time at our grandfathers farm along with 4 of our cousins who lived there ,There was lots of room to play ,and Granny always kept us full of food , grandad was great fun ,and could always make us laugh ,with some quite disreputable tricks , we had lots of friends who lived locally ,who were interested in motorcycles as were John and I .and we sometimes entered completions with them .By 1971 John was married , and set off to make a new life for himself in Canada ,which I thought was a very brave.I am proud to say that he succeeded in this ,and built a good life for Pam and himself .Well done John you lived a good life , may God bless you , I miss you , with love Rob.

Michael and I enjoyed many day, weekend and a few week long trips with John and Pam. Countless summer nights with friends, music, laughter and drinks around a bonfire. Our " hi John, hi Patty" greeting usually turned into smart ass remarks during a guy's verses gal's board game, especially if the guy's won.
His devotion to his beautiful wife Pam was amazing. A proud father, step father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Thank you for being our friend.
Michael and Patty
