Obituary of Barbara Anne Lewis

Barbara (Barbi-Anne) Lewis passed away peacefully on April 16, 2026.

Predeceased by her parents, William and Mary, Barbi-Anne  leaves behind her loving daughter Tuesday (Michael) Brant and her cherished grandson Eli Brant. She will be deeply missed by her sisters Fran (Darryl) Carpenter of Goderich and Jannette (D. Jack) Wilson of London, as well as her nieces, nephews, cousins, and her beloved friend, Dale Fettes.

Barbi-Anne, or B.A. as she was known to many, was a free spirited, self-sufficient woman who lived life on her own terms.  Barbi-Anne's life took her to many places, but the water always called her back to Port Dover.  She proudly owned and operated the 1885 House Bed and Breakfast in Port Dover for a number of years, where she welcomed many with warmth.  She had a passion for collecting art, and was an avid supporter of local artists. She enjoyed sailing, and loved music and dancing. She had a spontaneous sense of adventure and would never hesitate to attend a concert on her own.  She loved animals as well, especially dogs. She was always sure to have a dog biscuit or two in her pocket for any chance meetings. Barbi-Anne provided dog sitting services for a number of years in the Norfolk area where she would often be recognized while out walking with her furry friends, While residing in the nursing home, her stuffed cats became her main source of comfort and you wouldn't see her without at least one on her lap.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff of Norview Lodge, Maple Crescent, for the compassionate care and kindness they showed Barbi-Anne during her time there.

As per Barbara’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Thompson Waters Funeral Home. 102 First Ave., Port Dover. (519)583-1530. For those wishing, donations can be made to Purr-fect Companions of Delhi. Online condolences and/or donations can be made at www.thompsonwatersfuneralhome.ca
