Obituary of Dorothy Mae Guthrie

GUTHRIE (Pickard), Dorothy Mae of Simcoe passed away peacefully at Norfolk General Hospital on May 20, 2026 in her 79^th year, wife of Larry (2022).  Mother of Arlene Guthrie and Karen Hallema (George). Grandmother of Kristyn (Reed), Natalie Lofthouse (Aaron) and Caroline (Dom).  Predeceased by parents Arnold and Esther (Helena) (nee Rose) and brother Doug Pickard (2008). Dorothy is survived by her brothers Dave Pickard and Wally (Annette) Pickard and brother-in-law’s Lennard Holliday (Kathy) and Frank Moodie. Predeceased by Larry’s parents Alex (Scoop) and Erie (Jean) Guthrie and sister-in-law’s Brenda Holliday and Linda Moodie. She will be missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held on Saturday June 6, 2026 at 11:00am at Woodhouse United Church, 2154 Norfolk County Hwy 24, Simcoe.  Arrangements entrusted to Thompson Waters Funeral Home 102 First Ave. Port Dover.
