Obituary of Rick Cairns
Eric "Rick" Cairns passed away peacefully at his home on June 11, 2026. Beloved husband of Mia Cairns, Rick was a devoted father to Eric (Kim) Cairns and Meegan Cairns. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Cameron Keller, Kyle Cairns, and Branden Cairns, who brought immense joy to his life. Rick will be dearly missed by his twin sister, Andrea (Bill) Corner, as well as his many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Eric and Grace Cairns.
In his younger years, Rick enjoyed playing hockey, baseball, and golf. His love of sports continued throughout his life, leading him to coach and mentor young athletes in his community. Whether he was behind the bench, on the sidelines, or cheering from the stands, Rick found great happiness in sports and the friendships they created. In later years, he remained an avid sports fan and rarely missed an opportunity to watch a game. Rick enjoyed travelling with his beloved wife Mia whether they were going to visit family or just soak up the sun in Florida. Above all else, Rick treasured his family. He valued time spent with those he loved and created lasting memories.
