Obituary of Stephanie Beattie

BEATTIE, Stephanie Janay, of Port Dover
It is with profound sadness that we announce that Stephanie Beattie passed away unexpectedly at home on the 3rd July 2026 in her 53rd year.  She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her much-loved son, Lennon Christopher Robert Cook, who was the light of her life.  Loving daughter of Larry Beattie of Port Dover, her brother Tim (Marlene) of North Carolina, and her "sissyflip" Caroline (Jack) of Burlington.  Stephanie will be dearly remembered by her niece Madison (Mario), her nephew Aidan (Nicole), her brother-in-law Darren (Tracey) Cook, and by her cousins, Sharon (Glenn) Turnbull, Tracy Rush, and Brad (Cindy) Rush.
Stephanie was predeceased by her beloved husband, Jason Cook (2022), and by her cherished mother, Kelly Beattie (2015).  It was after the tragic death of Jason that Stephanie learned of her MS diagnosis, which she accepted with grace and dignity but shared with very few.
Stephanie was compassionate, thoughtful and kind, and loved by all who knew her.  She was a social butterfly whose laughter, quick wit, and smile would light up any room. She treasured time spent with family and friends.  In her working life, she studied to be a dental assistant and worked in Norfolk County for many years.  She also enjoyed flying into the Canadian north as part of an outreach team to provide support for those individuals in remote areas.  She found great joy in music, dancing, travelling, and creating lasting memories with those she loved.  Above all else, Stephanie's greatest pride and joy in life was her son, Lennon.  Her love for him was immeasurable and the bond they shared eternally bound.
We are broken-hearted at her passing and the flowers in the garden will miss her touch but as Stephanie believed in Angels, we know she will never be far away.
In keeping with the family's wishes, a Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held on July 31st, 2026, from 1-4pm, at the Thompson Waters Funeral Home in Port Dover, Ontario.  Prayers and words of Remembrance at 2pm.
