Obituary of Joan Billard

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joan Billard (nee Richardson) on July 26, 2026. Loving mother to Helena (Don) Wilkinson, Teresa (Tom) Gottschalk, Susan Johnson and Mark Pozarycki. Proud grandmother to Jennifer, Jeffery, Troy, Nicole, Sasha, Tallon and Stephen. Great-grandmother to Toria, Colin, Jaxon, Ethan, Haley, Kori, Liam, Jesse, Ethan, Braeden, Mathew, Samantha, Willow and Ivy. Great-Great Grandmother to Jack and Linus. Joan leaves behind several loving family members in England, who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her. Predeceased by her parents Ruby and Douglas.

Joan was a long-time member of the Port Dover Legion and Ladies auxiliary. She was a social and outgoing lady who loved spending time with others. She enjoyed playing cards and was a proud member of many dart leagues over the years, making wonderful friendships and memories along the way. Joan also had a special place in her heart for animals, especially her beloved dogs, who brought her great joy and companionship throughout her life.

The family invites you to join them for a Funeral Service at Thompson Waters Funeral Home 102 First Ave. Port Dover (519)583-1530 on Tuesday August 4, 2026 at 11:00am.
