Obituary of Edward Charles Sargeant

SARGEANT, Edward Charles "Ted" of Port Dover passed away at Norfolk General Hospital on Friday, February 21, 2025 in his 92nd year. Devoted and cherished husband of Heather for 66 years. Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Lloyd and Andrea Sargeant of England and Clair and Jim Abbott of Ridgeway. Loving grandfather of Llaya and Dan Kendall, James Abbott and Sarah and Brent Sparrow, great-grandfather of Heidi, Maeva and Nelle Kendall.  Ted and Heather moved to Canada 27 years ago, from England after they retired. Ted was a Korean War Veteran, serving as a Gunner in The Royal Artillery and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #158. His greatest joy was his family and spending time with them was his favourite pastime.  A special thank you to Dr. Davison and nurse Helen at NGH for the kindness and compassion they showed to the family. A Service of Remembrance will be held at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME, 102 First Ave. Port Dover 519-583-1530, on Friday, February 28, 2025 at 11 am. Reverend Sheena Marini officiating.
