Obituary of ILENE DOHERTY

DOHERTY, ILENE DOHERTY, Ilene (nee Chambers), of Port Dover, passed away Saturday, November 6, 2010 in her 78th year at Norfolk General Hospital. Cherished and loving wife of Ben. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Bob and Dorothea, Brian and Lori, Kathy, all of Port Dover and Scott of Simcoe. Loving grandmother of Amy, Chris, Jennifer, Matthew Kayla and Blair, great grandmother of Emily and Owen. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Allan and Lorraine Chambers of Jarvis, Max Chambers of Toronto, Doreen Armstrong of Cheapside, Bernice and Doug Mulholland of Kitchener and Don Macaulay of Port Dover. Predeceased by her parents, William and Mabel Chambers, and sisters Lois, Verna and Doris. Ilene was a member of Grace United Church and the church choir. A former member of the Kinettes Club and the Golden Girls Line Dancing. In keeping with Ilene's wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held, Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at 1 pm at Grace United Church (Chapman & St. George Sts.) Port Dover. The Reverend Murray Rounding officiating.
