Obituary of FRANCES SMITH

SMITH, FRANCES "FANNY" SMITH Frances, "Fanny" of Port Dover, passed away peacefully surrounded by the loved of her family, at Dover Cliffs Nursing Home, on Sunday, April 10, 2011 in her 93rd year. Predeceased by her husband Dorien (1957). Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Eugene and Kathy of St. Thomas, Harley and Sylvia of St. Thomas, Terry of Port Dover, Russell and Marjorie of Brantford, Monty and Annette of Delhi, Janice Stokes of St. Thomas and Diane of Simcoe. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Alfred Long, Bob and Jean Long, Fred and Bernice Long, Thelma Partridge, Peggy Trembley and Shirley Long. Dearly loved grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother of many. Predeceased by her son Marvin, daughter-in-law Betty, son-in-law Bob, brothers Joe, Charlie and Mid, sister Phoebe, brothers-in-law Norm, Doug and Harold and sister-in-law Irene. Fanny was a life long resident of Port Dover and was employed by Misner Fish Co. for many years. Family and friends are invited to share their memories of Fanny on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 from 3 pm to 5 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME, 102 First Ave. Port Dover (519) 583-1530, where the Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11 am.
