Obituary of BARBARA WALDICK

WALDICK, BARBARA JOAN WALDICK, Barbara Joan of Simcoe, passed away peacefully, with her loving family by her side, at Norfolk General Hospital on Friday, July 15, 2011 in her 72nd year. Cherished wife of Raymond for 48 years. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Thomas and Tammy of Vittoria, Russell and Tanya of Stoney Creek, Michael and Crystal of Vittoria and Joyce and Peter VanPaassen of Simcoe. Loving grandmother of 8 grandchildren. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Robert and Connie Mason of Port Dover, Wanda and Robert Johnson of Stratford, Ethel Cox of Simcoe and Ruth and John Clayton of Delhi. Much loved niece of Vera Gordon of Port Dover. Predeceased by her parents William and Phyllis Mason, and sister Lois Mason (1957). Barb loved to garden, as anyone driving by her house would know. She enjoyed birdwatching, and took great pleasure in crocheting afghans, that she gave to her family or donated to a local charity. Barb was a behind the scences volunteer, belonging to the Vittoria Foundation and Lamport Seniors Club. Family and friends are invited to visitation on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 from 7 pm to 9 pm (evening only) at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME, 102 First Ave., Port Dover (519) 583-1530. A private family interment will take place at a later date. For those wishing, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Norfolk General Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
