Obituary of FERN THOMPSON

THOMPSON, FERN THOMPSON, Ruby "Fern" of Port Dover, passed away at Norfolk General Hospital on Monday, January 30, 2012 in her 100th year. Cherished mother of Paul of Toronto and Patricia (Henry) of Bermuda. Dearly loved grandmother of Wendy (Jim), Laurie (Ric), Scott (Lyn), Shawn, Cheryl (David) and John. Proud great grandmother of Ashley, Melissa, Clark, Rachel, Tristin, Coral, Cedar and Sidney. Predeceased by her husband Kenneth (1965), her parents Aaron and Isabel Evans, daughter-in-law Audrey and a sister and two brothers. Fern was a life long resident of Port Dover, she worked for Waddles for many years, and was a member of St. Paul's Anglican Church and the church choir. She will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. Friends are invited for visitation to share their memories of Fern on Thursday, February 2, 2012 (evening only) 7-9pm at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME, 102 First Ave., Port Dover (519) 583-1530. The Funeral Service will be held Friday, February 3, 2012 at 1 pm at St. Paul's Anglican Church (Market and St. George Sts.) Port Dover. Father Kendall Reimer officiating.
