Obituary of PAULINE POWELL

POWELL, PAULINE HELEN POWELL, Pauline Helen of Port Dover, passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2012 with her family at her side, in her 91st year. Predeceased by her loving husband Austin. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Roy and Andrea and Cindy and Harley Snively all of Port Dover. Loving grandmother of Donalda, Cory, Dustin, Dee-Anne, Christopher, Sheena, and Brooklin, great-grandmother of Kiki, Bayden, Austin, Ethan, and Lucky. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Ron Butler and Bessie Smith of Port Dover. Predeceased by her daughter, Sharon, and brothers, Douglas Butler and his wife Dora, Thomas Butler and his wife Dorothy, sisters, Florence Waddle and her husband Roland, Pearl Guthrie and her husband Hopson, and Gloria Pritch and her husband Myron. Pauline was a very active member of the Port Dover community. She was a member and Past President of the Legion Ladies Auxillary RCL, Branch 158, member and Past Noble Grand of Silver Lake Rebekah Lodge 150, member of Grace United Church, the U.C.W. and the Women's Institute. Friends are invited to meet with the family to share their memories of Pauline on Wednesday, January 2, 2013, 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9pm at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME, 102 First Ave., Port Dover (519) 583-1530. A Rebekah Service at 6:15 pm and a Legion Ladies Service at 6:45 pm. A Funeral Service to celebrate Pauline's life will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 11 am at Grace United Church (Chapman & St. George Sts.) Port Dover. The Reverend Frank Walker and The Reverend Cheryl Fitch (Pauline's great-niece) officiating. Interment Port Dover Cemetery.
