BRISSEAU, RICHARD DALE "DICK" BRISSEAU, Richard Dale "Dick", of Port Dover, passed away suddenly but peacefully at Norfolk General Hospital on Sunday, August 18, 2013 in his 73rd year. Dick is survived by his former wife Donna and her friend Ed., daughters Sandy (Brian Bennett) and Susie (Gerald). Loved Poppa to Matthew (Brittany) and Cassie (Goose). Loving brother to Harvey (Lillian), Wanetta, Betty (Larry) and Bernard. Dick was also survived by his Aunt Maxine, special brother to Susan (Frank) and many cousins, nephews and nieces. Predeceased by his parents Harold and Mabel, sisters Velma, Leona, brother, Weldon, grandson Shawn Douglas McGarrity, father-in-law and mother-in-law Alan (Squeak) and Golda Matthews. Dick will be missed by Doug McGarrity (Diane). Dick loved to spend time with his grandkids, Matt & Cassie, also spending time with Susie and his family. He loved spending time at the pier. Dick was born and raised in Port Burwell, moved to Port Dover in 1959. He was a commercial fisherman until 1972 then worked at Ivey's greenhouse until it closed in 1992. Dick will be greatly missed by all the residents and staff at Dover Cliffs LTC. Dick's four legged friends, Chloe, Molly and Haymow will also miss him. Friends are invited to meet with the family to share their memories of Dick at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME, 102 First Ave. Port Dover (519) 583-1530 on Thursday, August 22, 2013 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm and Friday, August 23, 2013 from 10 am to noon. A Service to Celebrate Dick's life will be held in the funeral home Chapel on Friday at 1 pm. The Reverend Frank Walker officiating. Interment Port Dover Cemetery.
