Obituary of VIRGINIA CARR

CARR, Virginia (nee Bowman) of Port Dover, passed away at Norfolk General Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family, on Friday, March 7, 2014. Cherished wife of Scott and devoted and loving mother of John Williams of Japan, Wendy and Sean Gillen of St. Thomas, and Cindy Williams of Sydney, Australia. Proud grandmother of Colin and dearest daughter of Vivia. Virginia is also survived by her siblings; William and Diane Bowman, Richard and Irene Bowman both of Hamilton, Susan and Bruce MacGowan of Nova Scotia and brother-in-law Blain Bechthold of Baden. Predeceased by her father, William and sister, Beverly Bechthold. Virginia was an avid quilter and a motorcycle enthusiast. She loved her children and would travel the world to visit them. Virginia was a loved and respected lady and will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her. Friends are invited to meet with the family to share their memories of Virginia at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME, 102 First Ave., Port Dover, ON 519-583-1530 on Saturday, March 8, 2014 from 3 pm to 6 pm. A Service of Celebration and Remembrance will be held in the funeral home Chapel on Sunday, March 9, 2014 at 1 pm. The Reverend Cheryl Fitch officiating.
