I worked with Ed in Corrections in Pr George, BC. We discovered that we both did a similar thing in the Air Force prior to working for the Corrections Branch. I was a supervisor in the prison system and Ed brought a solid steady presence to the job. He had a good sense of humour and a ready smile. I knew his Mother Ursula, from her work at the Probation Office, and met his Dad, Peter. Ed was a good man, and those of us who worked with him in Pr George were happy for him when he got the job with the Ontario Provincial Police. I'm not in PG these days, but know I speak for the Corrections team when I send condolences to Ursula, Peter and the rest of the family. We sit with you in your sadness.

Dear Ursula, Peter and family, please accept my sincere condolences for the loss of your son. When Ed was about a year old or perhaps younger you visited my parents in Eganville with your family. You sat him on our kitchen table for us to see the baby. When I saw him, I said he looks like the baby Jesus, from a Nativity scene on a Christmas card, He was so beautiful. Ed and family is remembered in my prayers. Lord have mercy on his soul.

To the Family and Relatives of Ed Morris, I am so deeply sorry for your loss. I have known Ed since his first day of work at the detachment in Simcoe where he and I became instant friends. A friendship which will last forever in my memory. There are far too many good times/things to list when I think of Ed, both on and away from work. Ed was one of the few people I know, that no matter who you were, he was always there to lend a helping hand or a welcomed piece of advice.
