Obituary of KAREN WILSON
KAREN MacEWAN WILSON
1958 - 2015
Wife of John (32 years); Daughter of Ann & Don MacEwan
I guess this is goodbye….
I tried to leave everything I had behind in this world - from my body that may help someone else live; to my love. I knew nothing could come with me. That nothing would be of use to me any longer.
I hope that I said "I love you" enough. I hope I made you smile more than I made you cry. I hope I brought you comfort and warmth.
I hope you all feel love each and every time you think of me. That and bringing a smile to your face is really all I can give you now.
My paintings, which reflect pieces of me, may bring peace of mind to you - may speak to you in the midst of your solitude.
Forget the funeral. Forget the interment. Forget the flowers. Forget meeting up again in another world. I don't need that. I had exactly what I was meant to have and because of that, I am fulfilled.
All I ask is that you speak of me often - both the good and the bad. Keep the story of my life alive. And while you're at it, please remember to live yours. Just live your life. Be content. That's all there really is.
Thank you for being irreplaceable in my life.
I wish for you love, life, poetry, art and laughter. Find them where you can. They are sometimes in unexpected places.
Karen
