Obituary of RONALD JONES

JONES, Ronald William of Delhi (formerly of Port Dover) passed away suddenly at his home on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 in his 80th year. Loving best friend of Helen Ness. Dearly loved father of Roxanne Jones and her husband Dave Weaver (also a brother member of the International Union of Operating Engineers) and Joel and his wife Angie. Much loved brother and brother-in-law of Russell (also Ron's best friend and brother member of the International Union of Operating Engineers) (Marie), Wayne, Betty McDade (Tom), Donna Friday (Bill), Doris Moffat (Bob), Velma Jones, Patricia Kingsnorth, Joanne Bishop, Linda Miller and (Thelma). Will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Earl and Irene Jones, brother, Frank, sister Doreen and her husband Clois, brothers-in-law Ron Kingsnorth and Alex Bishop and his second wife Judy. Ron was a proud member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 793. He was the former owner/operator of R & J Antiques in Port Dover, he was an avid woodworker, loved antiques and old cars. He loved to travel (by van) to many places off the beaten track. Since his retirement he spent several months a year in Mexico. Ron will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew him. Friends are invited to meet with Ron's family for visitation on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME, 102 First Ave. Port Dover from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm. A Service to Celebrate Ron's life will be held in the funeral home Chapel on Monday, March 2, 2015 at 1 pm. The Reverend Jeff Smith officiating. Interment Port Dover Cemetery.
