Obituary of Joyce Pineo

"It is with a heavy heart that we announce the peaceful passing of Joyce Elaine Eastbury Pineo on Friday, July 24, 2015. Born January 25th, 1951in Hagersville, Ontario, she is predeceased by her adored parents Ted and Ruth Eastbury.Beloved wife of Eric, loving mother of Richard and Greg, and extraordinary Nana to Jack, Lucas, Owen, and Olivia. She is also survived by her brother George and will be sadly missed by her large extended family throughout Canada. Mom leaves each of us with the memories of the love and affection that she poured on us every day of our lives.Elaine cherished her upbringing in Selkirk and her life in the Selkirk Bakery. After meeting her love of her life, Eric, she brought her infectious smile and giving heart to Port Dover where she blossomed. Her generosity and selflessness was shown throughout our small town through her significant involvement with Richard and Greg's friends, Kinnettes, Port Dover Minor Hockey and the Knox Presbyterian Church. From making pies at the church, her beloved choir, fundraising, her treasured piano, Lightning's open home and her dedication to her family; Elaine will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her.Our family would like to thank everyone for their love and support through her brave struggle. We would like to thank her caregivers whose compassion and dedication to Mom will never be forgotten. The family would like to invite one and all to calling hours on Tuesday, July 28th from 6-9pm at the Knox Presbyterian Church, followed by a celebration of her life on Wednesday, July 29 at 11am at the Knox Presbyterian Church in Port Dover. In lieu of flowers, our family requests that donations be made to the Knox Presbyterian Church for which Mom was a dedicated member. We love you Mom. You made us the people we are today. You are missed but will be never forgotten."
