The best memories that I have of my dad was working with him in his shop how I miss those times, my biggest regret in life was not spending more time with my dad,I have always loved you and always will,you where my hero you showed me that you have to be a good person and work hard and be a good father and respect others I will never forget you will always be in my hart love and miss you always. My grandpa tought me alot in life he tought me to drive. That was fun eh grandma.But most of all he tought me how to build. My love my life. I said my final goodby on Friday morning. And as you know, yesterday was beautiful and all of those who have loved you were there to say their goodbyes. And the ones that loved you who have already left this earth were there to say "Welcome home my friend, my brother, my son".

Losing Ed from our family is an unthinkable void. He was our humorist, the steady and in control guy, the one who could always see the positive side, and the supporter. Everyone always looked forward to his visits and new jokes. He loved our cooking and his beer. He just plain loved life!!!
To me personally he was always my supporter. He was one of the few men in my life that loved me unconditionally....no matter how bad a screwed up, and there were a few of those in my past. Ed was a very intelligent man. One who could think even the toughest projects through to perfection. We all have had the opportunity to receive some special handmade wood project from Ed , and we will cherish them forever. All those hours of turning a hunk of wood into a masterpiece was his labor of love. If you are blessed enough to possess a pc of his work be grateful, and cherish it!!!! I miss him so much already. I miss his smile, laugh, hugs,kisses and unconditional love...He has been my hero many times in the past. Now he is my angel in the paradise that our faithful God promises to his followers. He is in great company! It will be difficult to imagine life w/o you w/us but that is my selfishness showing. I know you were needing to leave and begin your new life w/no pain and suffering. Rest in our Heavenly Father's peace Ed. You are loved!!!!

Two years ago in the summer of 2013, I myself (Sandra Reeves, nee Casey) received a phone call from Ed's wife (I had never heard of either Ed or Gloria before and had no idea who they were) Gloria, telling me as best she could that her husband was with our brother "Ronald Casey" when he was hit by a truck back in 1952. To make this as short as I can, Ed and Gloria came to my place and out of my parents 7 siblings, there are still 4 alive counting myself, so all four of us met with Ed and Gloria. We learned mostly from Gloria, the story we never really knew, in just how our brother was killed and how Ed has carried this on his shoulders since that dreadful day. God love him...he was still very emotional about the whole thing but Gloria was able to answer any questions we had. For meeting this couple was just so amazing, and hearing his story and how all these years he was still affected, broke all our hearts. We found them to be such a wonderful couple and it wasn't hard to see Gloria's deep love for Ed. Our only wish was that we would have seen them again, and share perhaps more happier stories of his and Ronald's childhood. He was taken way too soon from that deadly disease of "cancer". As Gloria told me once he is now with family and Ronald. Our Deepest Sympathy Gloria and families for this amazing man, we only got to meet once, but first impressions are the best and he was the best.
