Obituary of Linda Lindsay

LINDSAY, Linda Jean of Port Dover suddenly passed away on Tuesday April 5, 2016 at Hamilton General Hospital in her 70th year. Predeceased by her loving partner Edward Ireland. Dear mother of Dean of Kitchener and Michael (Shannon) of Hamilton and step mother of Richard (Joanne), Sheila (Steve), Randy (Juanita) and Rob. Proud grandmother of numerous grandchildren. Sadly missed by her siblings Robert (Susan) of Simcoe, David also of Simcoe, James of Guelph, Diane of Burlington, Margaret (David) of Waterford, Joanne (Rick) of Elliott Lake, Judy (Dan) of Port Dover and Sue Ellen (Michael) of Waterford. Predeceased by her father Robert and brother Richard. Survived by her mother Ada. Linda was loved by many in the Port Dover community and gave much of her time to the Port Dover Lifeline Food Bank, volunteered for Meals on Wheels and was an active member of Grace United Church. Friends are invited to share their memories of Linda on Sunday April 10, 2016 from 1pm to 4pm at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME 102 First Ave Port Dover (519)-583-1530. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in Linda's memory on Monday April 11, 2016 at 11am at Grace United Church Port Dover corners of Chapman and St. George Sts. Rev. Jeffrey Smith officiating.
