Obituary of Grant Alan Dougherty

~~DOUGHERTY, Grant Alan passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday August 21, 2017 at Norfolk General Hospital. Loving husband of Violet, dear father of Kam (Anita) of Port Dover, Kathy (Mike) Podlesky of Tillsonburg, Kerry (Peggy) Swartz of Kitchener and Kevin (Barbe) Swartz of New Hamburg. Sadly missed by his siblings Ruth (Rick) Camirand, Paul (Tracy Ryerse) Dougherty, Dave (Brenda) Dougherty, Elsa (Rick Jakielaszek) Dougherty and Virginia (Fred) Smith. Fondly remembered by 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Grant enjoyed the outdoors; he liked to go hunting, fishing and play with his dogs. He was also a volunteer on the Port Dover Fire Department for over 15 years. Grant's sense of humour and enjoyment of life will be missed by all who knew him. A Celebration of Life will be held in Grant's memory on Sunday August 27, 2017 from 1pm to 4pm at the Port Dover Royal Canadian Legion 212 Market St. E. Port Dover.
