MARGETAN, Deborah Anne "Debbie" MARGETAN, Deborah Anne (Debbie) (nee Gray) of Vittoria, after a brave and fearless battle with cancer, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2010 in her 53rd year at Norfolk General Hospital. Loving wife and best friend of Mike for more than 32 years. Cherished daughter of Ron and Joan Gray of Port Dover. Much loved sister and sister-in-law of John and Ginnie Gray of Caledonia, Ken and Marilyn Gray of Essex and Marilyn and Bill Clark of Dresden. Will be sadly missed by her mother-in-law Margaret Margetan of St. Williams and many nieces and nephews. Many people in Port Dover know Debbie as an employee of the Royal Bank of Canada, where she worked for many years. She was a big sister with the Big Brothers Big Sisters Association for many years, providing valuable guidance for the many little sisters she had the pleasure of knowing. Debbie ran a number of marathons, to benefit the Canadian Cancer Society in search of a cure. She loved the outdoors and had a special place in her heart for the dogs that shared her life. Her loving presence will be sadly missed by her family and friends, they will cherish their memories of their time spent together. Friends are invited to meet with the family to share their memories of Debbie, on Friday, January 15, 2010, 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME LTD., 102 First Ave., Port Dover (519) 583-1530. A Service of Remembrance will be held Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 11 am at Knox Presbyterian Church (Chapman and St. George Sts.) Port Dover. The Reverend Cathy Kay officiating. Cremation has taken place and a private interment will take place at a later date. Memorial donations in Debbie's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or Sick Kids Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
