My heart goes out to you Jean and family in the loss of a husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, brother-in-law and friend.
Parkinsons certainly deprives and 'robs' us of having the full enjoyment in relationships that we expect life to bring into our lives.
I am so thankful for the opportunity I've had to become aquainted with Dave, and to witness his strong and determined spirit in spite of the challenge of this 'physical foe'!
The friendship we shared will continue to be a part of my fond thoughts and memories.
My prayer is that God will sustain you and provide you with 'His Peace'.

Dave had kind eyes, a mischievious smile, and an awesome dry sense of humour.
When Dave's illness worsened a few years ago, he told me his biggest concern was that he didn't want to be a burden to Jean or to the kids.
That was the thing about Dave, he always put his concern, and his love, for others, ahead of himself.
It was a very difficult journey for Dave, yet I never once heard him complain.
He faced each day with strength and with dignity, right up until the end.
With all of his heart, Dave loved his Family, his dog Bella, his friends, and, chocolate.
I think if each one of us strive to be the kind of person Dave was, it would be a much better world.
Rest in peace Dave, ( when not riding your bike or golfing with your beloved brother Martin).
We thank you for your friendship, and for the beautiful gifts you created, like the carved walking sticks, Amie and Jason's treasured blanket box and Gary's favourite wooden pencil case!
With love and heartfelt sympathy to dear Jean and Family.
Minta, Gary, Sarah, Amie, Jason and the kids.

David was a good friend and room mate a Norview Lodge for two years. He had a good sense of humour and never complained about his health problems. I will miss David and the weekly visits by Jean. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this difficult time. Jim

I can't believe you are gone too. First Martin, now you. Don't know if you need to book tee times, but I'm sure Martin had one set for the two of you. Rest easy now big brother. As I said last Friday when I saw you last.... I love you!!!
