We were saddened to learn of Bill’s passing. As newcomers to Port Dover, in 1980, we were very grateful for the kindness Bill and Ruth extended to us and our children as they opened their home to us.
Bill’s devotion to Christ, and his fellowship, strengthened our family and made our way, a bit easier. To each of the Ramp children....you were always spoken about, with love and pride, by your parents.
With Love, Marjorie and Yvon Buckles

Dear family,
It is very sad to hear, that uncle Bill passed away.
We realise that he was the last living of the Ramp generation. All his sisters had already passed away.
We have nice memories meeting uncle Bill during our visits in Canada and his frequent visits to Holland.
Of course this is a sad period, but what stays is the good memory of a very nice person!!
Please send our condoleances to aunt Ruth.
Love Nel and John

Gerda and Wim next to the barn of the old farmhouse.
Translation: Gerda and me. See the pile of beet pulp at the back of the picture which was taken outside of our barn. The beet was forage for the cows. The wheelbarrows on the background were placed there by uncle JAN to prevent me from coming behind the barn with the risk to fall into the ditch.

Dear Family,
It has been an honor for my wife Riekje and me Hans Adriani to have known Wim.
Our relationship started when we bought the Farm House in 1995 and started to renovate it. Gerda, Wim’s sister walked by the house while we were in the middle of reconstruction and thought we had started to break down the building. It was the opposite… It was the house where they grew up and from where Wim emigrated in 1948 to Canada. Wim has visited us three times and has slept in the same rooms he slept in when he was only a boy. The visits were quite emotional in a positive way. It felt like this “house with a soul” connected our families. See the uploaded pictures. The house just brand-new built in 1927; Gerda and Wim as children next to the Barn; The house in 1948 and the same in current condition.
We have recently (October 2018…) stepped in a new phase in our life as well and sold the house to a new family for which we hope the house will give the same love we have felt for 23 years. Please accept our condolences with the loss of this good, energetic and interesting man.
