Obituary of David Murray Kilpatrick
KILPATRICK, David Murray of Port Dover, passed away at Dover Cliffs LTC on Thursday, December, 13, 2018 in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Barbara for 59 years. Dearly loved father of Robert of Port Dover and Patrice and her partner Nicholas Henderson of Perth, Australia. Will be sadly missed by his brother John, his family Michael and Christine, their children Camryn and Addison and Lynda Kilpatrick and her partner Will Prygiel. Dear brother-in-law of Betty McQuillan, Helen Castles, Pat and Jack Davison and Victor and Marie Powell. Predeceased by his sister-in-law Ruth Kilpatrick. Dave will be fondly remembered by many other family members and friends. Dave was a member of the Reserve Army 56th Field Artillery Regiment and retired as a Master Warrant Officer. He worked at Ontario Plant Foods in Delhi for many years, was also employed by the Royal Bank and then was the Clerk for the City of Nanticoke. Dave taught boating skills at Port Dover's Canadian Power and Sail Squadron classes. He was a member of the Port Dover Yacht Club since 1962 and served as Commodore in 2002. He received his 25 year pin in 2001 and a Life Membership on May 3, 2015. Dave enjoyed boating, camping and dancing, he loved time spent with friends and family. Friends are invited to share their memories of Dave at visitation at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME, 102 First Ave., Port Dover 519-583-1530 on Friday, December 21, 2018 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm. A Service to Celebrate Dave's life will be held at Grace United Church, Chapman and St. George Sts. on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 11 am.
