Dear Karen and Family: When I was made aware that Peter had passed away I thought of how fortunate I was to have grown up with him being the older Brother of my good friend Jim. I learned to play the piano, much against my will however, when I heard Peter play the piano I suddenly changed my mind that playing the piano was a very important part of life. I recall visiting "Granny Barrett's" to play pool but soon lost interest when Peter arrived and started to play the pipe organ. Peter took the time to show me how to play the Wurlitzer in a manner that those listening could actually figure out what I was playing...we had lots of laughs. I can recall sitting in Hell's Kitchen while Tim and Dorothy made our little group burgers and Peter would walk by and quietly say something to the effect..." Having a Doctorates Degree in Microbiological Chemistry I know what's really in those burgers...and you don't want to know." At which point he would laugh and walk away. His humour, devotion to learning, willingness to offer a helping hand and out look in life was something that always impressed me and motivated me. Thank you Peter, play on...Dale.
