Jay and family,
It is with sorrow I learned of your mom's passing. I have many fond memories of your mom, from my dad getting his haircuts at your house, the wolf or coyote pelt on the wall that I was scared of yet loved as well as the numerous times I helped serve during her catering functions! Barb was a lovely lady who was never shy of sharing her opinions and she will be greatly missed.

Barb will be greatly missed by all of us that visit at Dovercliffs , she was the most popular and visible welcoming commitee and knew every person that came thru those doors . I will always remember her riding in a convertible with a beautiful bouquet of red roses.. I always called her Miss Port Dover

Dear Jay and Laurie,
My deepest sympathy on the loss of your mom. Aunt Barb was such a wonderful lady. I loved everything about her. She was so kind to me and Noel when we lived in Ontario. I would spend many a time at the legion with her and Uncle Bill. They both made me feel so welcome. Aunt Barb made baby quilts for both of my children. Liam is now 23 and Laura is 22, I still have both quilts and thought so often of your mom when i would use them. She had a zest for life and was loved for it.
Please give my Aunt Marilyn a big hug for me. She loved your mom so very much... I'm glad she was there with her. I do wish i could be there with you all at this time, but know my thoughts are with you.

Barb was such a kind and caring woman. I always loved to see her big smile and zest for life.
I recently looked at pictures and saw a really nice one of your mom and dad. Both had big smiles on their faces. Brings back some great memories for me.

Barb was a very special lady who I would call an earth angel indeed. Knowing her from the RBC, she helped us send parcels to Canadian soldiers overseas via her son Jay . Half the town I think contributed to this ! And of course Nov. 11th she would do anything I would ask of her to make our bank honour the veterans with high respect ! Besides all this, she had a heart as big as her to all who needed her & always with that warm smile that covered her face and made her eyes twinkle ! Oh yes Barb there is a big hole in our lives but we know you are at peace with God for which I say Thank you. RIP my dear friend.
