Obituary of Karen YEAGER

YEAGER, Karen Yeager, Karen May 21 1944- February 23, 2010 Karen died in San Joaquin de Flores, Costa Rica where she had made her home for the last ten years. The eldest daughter of her late parents, Vernon (Tony) and Mildred Yeager, Karen grew up in Renforth, New Brunswick, resided and worked as a nurse in Montreal and Toronto, but called Port Dover, Ontario, where she had lived for a time with her beloved Aunt Ted and Uncle Carl Kolbe, her real home. She was a graduate of Simcoe District High School in Simcoe, Ontario and Saint Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing in Hamilton. She travelled the world far and wide, and learned the charity of other cultures. She is sadly missed by her brother Bob and sister Christine (Charles Becker), her nieces Melissa LeBlanc (Mathieu Noiseux) and Shari Lelanc, her little grand-niece Madeleine Rose Noiseux, her adopted mother-in-law Madeleine LeBlanc, her many cousins and friends, and her faithful dog Carley. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 11 am at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 102 First Ave., Port Dover (519)583-1530. A donation in her memory to any dog or child rescue mission would be greatly appreciated. May she rest in peace and know that she was loved.
