Obituary of Peter Paul St. Jean

ST. JEAN, Peter Paul (June 28, 1950 – December 3, 2020) of Port Dover, formerly of Sudbury. It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Peter St. Jean, peacefully in his sleep on December 3, 2020. Peter was born June 28, 1950 in Sudbury. Loving husband to Colleen (nee O’Connor). Cherished father of Blaine of Ottawa and Kevin and (Josée) of Sudbury. His pride and joy were his grandkids, Gabrielle, Joel, Romain, Benjamin and Keeva, who he loved with all his being. His eyes lit up every time he saw them and the love was radiant. Dearly loved brother to Marcel (Claudette). He also leaves behind many brothers and sisters-in-law who he loved very much. Predeceased by his parents Arnel and Simone St. Jean.  Peter grew up in Levack, Ontario. He married Colleen on New Year’s Eve 1970. This year they would have celebrated their 50^th Anniversary. Peter worked for Falconbridge Mines for 32 years, beginning in 1968. After retirement Peter and Colleen retired to Port Dover where he became involved in the community, volunteering. Peter also worked at St. Mary’s Parish in Simcoe, Ontario, where he made great friends. Dad had a passion for hunting and fishing. He loved dogs especially his furry side kick Nan. He was the happiest when he was with his boys Blaine and Kevin, on the lake where ever it may be. Those times will be greatly missed. Peter was a simple man. His last words to his dear wife were I Love You.  Visitation for Peter will be held Tuesday, December 8, 2020 from 7 pm to 9 pm at Thompson Waters Funeral Home, 102 First Ave., Port Dover 519-583-1530. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at 11 am at St. Mary’s Parish, 211 Union St. Simcoe, ON (maximum of 75 people). Celebrant Father Alan Dufraimont. Cremation to follow.  All Covid-19 regulations will be strictly adhered to. Masks must be worn at visitation and the funeral and social distancing must be observed.
