Cheryl and her family were neighbours of mine growing up and I have many great memories of playing fastball with Cheryl (she was a great pitcher) and then of playing volleyball and basketball with her in high school. She also introduced me to Supertramp one summer and I used to ride my bike listening to the Breakfast in America 'tape' ad nauseam. When I attended the Port Dover Composite School reunion a few years ago, I spoke with Cheryl and I got to experience once again, her warm and welcoming smile. Wayne, Pat and David, I am so sad for you and this huge loss.
Warmly, Karen Totzke

Dearest Cheryl, You were taken from this earth far too soon and I am saddened to see the reason. I had so much fun with you in high school on the volleyball court playing for hours on end with the wonderful people on our team. You were a great friend so long ago and I regret that we lost touch. I will always remember you fondly. Sigrid Hynscht.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. Ms Pineo was my coach as a student at Valley Heights, and when I returned there as a beginning teacher, she was incredibly supportive. When my mother was struggling with her own battle with cancer, Ms Pineo would check in on both my mom and I. She will be remembered by all as a devoted and compassionate teacher. My deepest sympathy to the Pineo family.

I am devastated to hear about Cheryl’s passing. I will always remember her as the first person to spend the time to get to know me when I started at Valley Heights. She was an amazing educator and a beautiful person. I will miss her deeply.
