My sincerest and deepest condolences to the Hynscht family and wish you great strength during this difficult time.
I have known Robert since the age of 10 when my family moved to Port Dover and he became our family doctor – and an awesome doctor he was!
Some of my fondest memories of Robert are:
Launching of the trimaran from Gambles ship yard;
Reading on the mattress in the backyard;
He enjoyed travelling, sailing, downhill skiing, and cross country skiing (not necessarily in that order).
I remember the days when he enjoyed smoking his pipe and all the mess that was made when he was banging the tobacco out of the pipe (in the kitchen).
The last time I saw Robert he was so excited to show me the “library” (that used to be the girls’ bedroom) – what an awesome room!
Robert was an amazing man and he will be greatly missed! Rest in Peace Robert.

It was with sadness that I saw Robert's obituary.
I have fond memories of my time in Port Dover.I appreciated the welcome and hospitality from Robert and Erika when I first arrived to this beautiful town.
I grew to appreciate his Medical skill and some tips I learned from him.
He was a Renaissance man in his activities and interests.He lived a very full life.
Please accept my condolences.

Dr. Hynscht was a family doctor to our family beginning in the early 1970's. He was an exceptional doctor, agreeing to meet with us on more than one occasion late after hours at his office when we needed him. He was also so grateful to share his home phone number with us, again should we need him after hours. He is remembered with the most fondest of memories and respect.
We send on our condolences to his family, with whom we've attended high school in the past and Dr. Harold Hynscht who remains physician for those of us who have remained local. Our thoughts are with you during this very difficult time.
The Wiedersprecher Family.

Sincere condolences to all of his family. He wasn't my Dr. but if I was in the waiting room when he was passing through he always acknowledged my presence by taking time to say hello. Such a gentleman. Admired & respected by many.

I happend to meet Robert only once in my life. The impression he left on me was unique and sustainable: A gentle, wise man, anything but presumptuous, reluctant rather than intrusive, in one word a real gentleman.
Robert will always be on my mind.

I met Robert first time 52 years ago when I visited him as a young brother of his student fraternity VdST Sudetia in Munich. I appreciated a lot Robert´s and Erika’s great hospitality. Since then till today we were in close contacts when he came to Germany. Often we sailed together in the Mediterranean. I feel such a great loss no longer to be able to be with him. A great man whom I will be missing till the rest of my life. As well on behalf of Robert´s German fraternity brothers I express my deepest condolences to Erika, Harold, Sigi, Julia and the grand children. What for a great Hynscht Family Robert created jointly with Erika after they left post-war Germany. Fiducit Robert

Deepest condolences to the family, greatly missed, greatly respected. Lots of fond memories of hanging with Harold in our 20's, visiting the house and getting the "look down the nose" from Robert summing up Harolds firends while we swam in the pool or went sailing... an intimidating man I first thought meeting him, and with time a relationship I appreciated. Robert you raised some great kids, had a fulfilling life, and helped alot of people, may you rest in peace. Big Hugz to Erika... Steve & LInda (Uncle Mugsy to Roland)

As his niece from far away in Germany I have known him all my life. Yes we live far away but because of his and my aunt Erika‘s efforts we did have many chances to connect.
He was a wonderful man and i found out so much more in the beautiful obituary that I actually did not know.
I am sure he sits in the clouds watching over his beloved family
Antoine de Saint-Exupéry once said:
If you are looking for me
Look for me in your heart
If I have a home in your heart
I will always be with you
Love to all of his family

Opi lived the most amazing and full life, travelled to so many places, helped so many people and taught me so much. He introduced me to great artists, skiing, German culture, delicious food, how to properly drink a wheat beer and so much more. Opi, I love you so much and will try to live my life with as much vigor as you did. You will be missed but never forgotten. You will be in our hearts forever ❤️
