Obituary of VALERIE CHAMBERS

CHAMBERS, VALERIE ANN CHAMBERS, Valerie Ann (nee Gilbert) of Port Dover peacefully at Norfolk General Hospital on Sunday, April 25, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. Val will be greatly missed by her husband of 54 years, Grant, her children Ric (Sally), Ron (Karen) and Trish Trinder (Ken) all of Port Dover and her grand "kids" Robbie (Patti), Nicci, Bret, Casey, Daryl, Amie (Ray) and Corey (Katie) Val will also be remembered by her sister Sandra Collins (Albert), her mother-in-law Jean Chambers, sister-in-law Marie Wilhem (Fred Lavji), Suzanne Greenslade (Paul), Alice Chambers, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her father Milfred "Gilly" Gilbert and mother Olive, sister Donna Bezzo and brothers-in-law Ben Bezzo and Ivan Chambers and father-in-law Clayton Chambers. Val was the owner of the Oriental Shoppe in Port Dover for many years, a very talented craft maker and avid gardener. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 from 3 pm to 5 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME, 102 First Ave., Port Dover (519) 583-1530. A Funeral Service to Celebrate Val's life will be held Thursday, April 29, 2010 at 11 am at St. Paul's Anglican Church, (Market and St. George Sts.) Port Dover. Father Kendall Reimer officiating.
