She was one of a kind, & I thought the world of yr mother, while I was growing up & worked with her played cards with her & Mel those were the days.. Dear Wendy, Alain, Megan and family,
I am very saddened by the news of LaVerne's passing. Her humor and feistiness will be greatly missed at the shop. I"m happy that I was able to spend the time with her, one on one, over the last 3 years. We shared some laughs, tears, and she always had a good story to tell.

La Verne had a big smile every time I saw her she loved her job at the Erie beach restaurant and she was so kind to all who went there. She was our favourite waitress.La Verne loved her family had a heart as big as a house.Port Dover has lost one of a kind.Rest in Peace.LaVerne.

Our sincere condolences on the passing of a fun out going wonderful Lady . I had the joy of working with Laverne at the Erie Beach where she kept everyone in line, then later we would have great chats while she parked over in the basin nearing the end of a day.
Many times she has crossed my mind.
