Obituary of Ann Mary Higho

HIGHO, Ann Mary passed away surrounded by the love of her family on Friday March 26, 2021 in her 71st year at Norfolk General Hospital. Loving wife of Frank, dear mother of  Fiona (Jamie) and Steve (Christie). Cherished grandmother of Austin, Reece, Mikayla and Hayden. Sadly missed by her brother Roy Marson. Predeceased by her parents Alan and Katherine and sister-in-law Yola. Ann loved to go sailing with her husband Frank; she enjoyed travelling and was especially fond of animals. Ann and Frank emigrated to Canada in 1981 from England. They were immediately struck by how welcoming people were to them in the community. Ann took on that trait herself and was well known for entertaining and there was no one who came to her home who wasn't adequately fed.  This included friends, family and contractors (who weren't even working on her house). She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.  As a family we are so appreciative of all the staff at Norfolk General Hospital for their caring and compassionate care in her final days. Friends are invited to meet with family to share their memories of Ann on Tuesday March 30, 2021 at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME 102 First Ave. Port Dover 519-583-1530. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday March 31, 2021 at Grace United Church (corners of Market and St. George Sts.) The Reverend Kathryn Vance officiating. Private interment service will follow.
