Obituary of Shirley Ann Parkinson

PARKINSON, Shirley Ann (nee Oakes) of Port Dover, passed away at Parkview Meadows on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 in her 78th year. Predeceased by her husband Terry (2015). Cherished mother of Michael and Bradley both of Port Dover. Shirley will be sadly missed by her brother Ron and his wife Brenda. Much loved sister-in-law of Carol Oakes, Patrice Clarkson and Brent Davie and Sharon Parkinson and Phil Cowil. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Ross and Inez Oakes, brothers Jim, Larry and Glen and sister Lynda. Shirley loved spending time gardening. She was a cat lover and had several over the years. Visitation for Shirley will be held Monday, June 21, 2021 from 7 pm to 9 pm at Thompson Waters Funeral Home, 102 First Ave. Port Dover (519) 583-1530. A Service to Celebrate Shirley's life will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 1 pm in the funeral home Chapel. Reverend Tony Bouwmeester officiating. Cremation to follow. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions you must call the funeral home to book at time for visitation and reserve for the funeral.
