Obituary of Maureen Ruth Ongaro

ONGARO, Maureen Ruth (nee Lawrence) of Port Dover passed away surrounded by love at Hamilton General Hospital on Thursday, June 17, 2021 in her 77th year. Beloved wife of Bruno for more than 57 years. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of  Susan Ongaro and Barry Jordan of St. Thomas and Jim Ongaro and Sue Colburne of Oakville. Proud and loving grandmother to Autum and Maxwell. Loving remembered by her sister Wendy Hulme. Predeceased by her parents Samuel and Ethel Lawrence and siblings, Peter, Joy, Fay, Barbara, Joan, Brian and June. Maureen liked to garden, read and knit. She enjoyed nature and loved watching the birds. She was an avid viewer and participant  of the Shopping Channel especially now with restrictions on in person shopping. Arrangements have been entrusted to Thompson Waters Funeral Home, Port Dover 519-583-1530. Due to Covid-19 restrictions all services will be private.
