Obituary of RUTH CRAIG

CRAIG, RUTH N. CRAIG, Ruth N. passed away at Park Lane Nursing Home on Friday, July 2, 2010. Ruth was in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late John W. Craig. Cherished mother of Evelyn Petryniak-Husby (Terje Husby), and the late William Petryniak, and their children, Michael Petryniak (Valerie), Craig Petryniak and Erik Husby (Brenda); Mary Willson (Robert) and their children, Charlotte Willson-Healy (Mark), and Matthew Willson; Howard Craig (Irena) and their children Eli (Mia), Jackson (Stephanie) and Ella. Will be missed by seven great grandchildren. Ruth was born in Brantford, daughter of the late Charles and Charlotte Lewis. Sister to the late Raymond Lewis (Viola) and the late Joyce Hodgson, survived by brother-in-law Bruce Hodgson. Ruth attended schools in Brantford and attended the Toronto General Hospital School of Nursing. She was an avid reader and instilled this interest in all of her children. She was a long time resident of Port Dover and was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church Choir, the Heather Club and was superintendent of the Sunday School. She was a member of Silver Lake Rebekah Lodge and was past president of the Port Dover Public School Home and School Association. Visitation for Ruth will be at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME, 102 First Ave., Port Dover (519) 583-1530 on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 from 1 pm to 2 pm followed immediately by a graveside service at Port Dover Cemetery.
