Obituary of Marianne Bouwmeester

BOUWMEESTER, Marianne of Port Rowan. It is with great sadness we announce that after a brief fight with cancer Marianne has gone to be with her Lord. Born in 1944 in war torn Holland, she followed her boyfriend to Canada where she married Tony in 1967. They raised two sons, Wayne (Lianne) and Mark (Nicole) and enjoyed their four grandchildren, Asha, Cali, Mariela and Brandon. Missed by her siblings, Mieke Nagtegaal (Nico), Ruud Valkenborg, sister- in-law Patricia and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister-in-law Jenneke Veldkamp and brother-in-law Bill. Prior to raising her family, Marianne worked as a legal secretary. Her main goal in life was to be the support of her husband in parish ministry where she worked alongside him as a licensed layreader and parish coordinator since 1988. Arrangements have been entrusted to Thompson Waters Funeral Home, Port Dover 519-583-1530. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Saturday April 9, 2022 at St. Paul's Anglican Church, St. George and Market St., Port Dover from 12 noon to 2 pm followed by a service in honour of her life at 2 pm, the service will be live streamed on St. Paul's Port Dover Facebook page for anyone wishing to join virtually.  MASKS ARE REQUIRED IN THE CHURCH.
