Obituary of Ruth Elizabeth Laing

LAING, Ruth Elizabeth of Port Dover passed away Monday April 17, 2023 peacefully in her 91st year. Predeceased by her loving husband John. Cherished mother to Bill (Norah) and Mary Anne. Ruth will be sadly missed by her granddaughter Reed (Braeden). Predeceased by her sisters May, Nora and Doris.

Ruth enjoyed 66 happy years with her husband John. Whether they were spending time at their cottage, antiquing, going to wooden boat shows or visiting at the pier, they were always together. Ruth loved to cook. She will be remembered for her great baked treats or for the frequent get togethers she hosted. Her family, friends and the “girls” shared many happy times around her dining room table.

The family would like to thank the staff at Norview Lodge for the care and compassion they gave to Ruth.
