Obituary of Anne Gale
It is with profound sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of Anne on August 10, 2023 five weeks short of her 100th birthday. She will be sadly missed by her children Lynne and Peter (Carmen), her grandchildren Jasmine and Corbin Gale and Corey Brown and her great-granddaughters Lilian and Charlotte Brown. Anne leaves behind her siblings Lillian Vanaria, Henri Bernard (Jeannine), Loretta (Lorie) Cushinan, Gerene (Geri) Breen (Peter), Diana Cox, Sharlene, Alfred (Freddy), Adrienne and sister-in-law Cheryl. She will be forever remembered by 100 plus nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and extended family. Predeceased by her loving husband Sid, grandson Ryan Brown, siblings Pauline Bernard, Lea Palumbo, Charles-Edouard (Chuck) as well as brothers-in-law Leonard, Tony, Jim and Bruce. She will also be deeply missed by many of Lynne’s friends who considered Anne their “adopted” mother since she made Port Dover her home in 2007. A special thank you goes out to the staff at Dover Cliffs Long Term Care for always treating Anne as if she were one of their own family members. Catholic Mass will be held at St. Cecilia’s, Port Dover, on Friday August 18, 2023 at 1:00pm. Reception with light lunch to follow in the church hall.
