Yvonne Keyes

Obituary of Yvonne Marie Keyes

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Yvonne Marie Keyes (nee Knowles) on September 12, 2023. She leaves behind her loving partner Willard Heideman. Cherished mother to Glen (Antonetta) and Lisa (Ian). Caring guardian to nephew James (Lisa). Loving grandmother to Julia, Mark, Jackson, Liam, Hudson and Griffin. Yvonne will be sadly missed by her sisters and brothers Nicole (Bob), Albert (Joan), Jackie (Steve) and Gisele (Jenn) as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and wonderful friends. Predeceased by her husband Clayton Keyes. Yvonne was born in Trinidad and was the first of her family to come to Canada to build a life. Settling in Port Dover was an easy choice for her as she loved living around the water. Yvonne was a dedicated member of Grace United Church, proudly participating in the church choir and organizing card games at the church.  Yvonne was a very creative woman and amazing artist. She painted many beautiful landscapes and enjoyed painting pictures of her beloved pets. She also loved sketching and crafting of all types. Yvonne enjoyed animals and being out in nature. More than anything else, she loved her grandchildren and spending time with them any chance she could. You are invited to join the family at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME 102 First Ave, Port Dover (519)583-1530 for visitation on Monday September 18, 2023 from 11am-1pm. Memorial service to follow at Grace United Church at 1:30pm.  For those wishing, donations can be made to The Heart and Stroke foundation or The Kidney Foundation.
