Hi all---I am so sorry for your loss; a huge empty spot remains when a parent has passed. I didn't know Wayne well--but my daughter, Jen was a friend with Meredith and so she became our family's friend and she lived in our basement while attending a course available at Valley Heights SS.I love her to pieces!! And so it was that Wayne was recommended to me by" you know who" as the person to build me new kitchen cupboards! In the early 90s the measuring began--I wanted pine but he said it was soft and with 6 people using the kitchen, a composite product that looked like pine would be more durable. So regularly when he had a section build ,out he would come with his station-wagon, take out a piece and put in the new...So I was never with a mess. they looked lovely and served us well. Only 2 years ago did I have them painted as pine becomes quite orange---I was working full time on a farm so little input was had BUT I hope I paid him??/. I can't remember the deal,I 'm embarrassed to say. Being a police officer, I hope I did! All my love to his lovely family-cherish the memories--Love Madaline Wilson

I am very sorry for not being able to attend the service today.
In 1978, I was a Police Cadet in the records department. I met Detectives Black and Clark at the back counter. From that point forward, I knew I had chosen the right profession. They were professional and very encouraging. After that first encounter, I was always motivated each and every time to fulfill their requests.
One of my few regrets in my career was never actually working with Wayne.
Our paths only crossed when I provided support in my role as a canine officer Again, regardless of the outcome of our search efforts, Wayne would express his appreciation for the work done.
In the group of the best!!!

My sincere condolences to you Colleen and all The Crazy Clark clan.
I remember Wayne from Glendale H.S. and later living just a few blocks from each other, our crazy dancing to The age Of Aquarius at your wedding in Niagara Falls, and many other fun times.
Wayne always wore a smile and had a very cheerful and positive outlook on life.
Wayne and Colleen are Godparents to my daughter, Andrea.
Mike and I bumped into him a few times in Port Dover and had a chat.
Wayne was the epitome of a sincere man, a friend, a wonderful, loving, and supportive husband, father and grandfather.
Rest in Peace my friend.

Both my brother Derrick and I were saddened to read of Wayne’s passing. I remember working with him a number of times and Derrick, who was a cadet, also worked with Wayne. Of course he treated others with respect and acknowledge officers who did good work. Tall with a loud laugh, he always ready to tell a quick story. Wayne was a man who loved his family. He will be fondly remembered. Our thoughts are with you and your family Colleen, God bless!

To Coleen and family my sincerest condolences. Sorry I won’t make the the visitation but I presently in Greece with my good buddy and a friend of Wayne’s John Lewington. Wayne’s passing has left John & I both reflecting on our memories with Wayne. I always remember as a 17 year old cadet Wayne while partnered wth Bud Black while working at Kenilworth Stn would call into the records office and say this is Cadet
Clark…he never forgot his roots. Then I was fortunate to work out on the Mountain Station with Wayne in his retirement year. I gave him book and signed it with a line “those that can do & those that can’t teach”! Wayne was definitely doer.
God bless Wayne and his family John & I have toasted him enough….

There were 4 of us that were in classes together at Glendale H.S. many years ago. The same 4 of us eventually joined the Hamilton City Police Force. Wayne, John Wilkins, Bob Maxwell and me. We also, all worked in the C.I.D. at the same time. Many stories surrounding all of us but I was lucky enough to have Wayne give me my street name of "INCH". He called me that in his usual good nature and respect and it still remains with me.
Not much more to say right now other than rest in peace my friends.
Sincere condolences to Colleen and family at this most difficult time.
The last time I saw Wayne he was sitting on the Port Dover Pier and we reminisced about old times.

Colleen and family, so sorry to hear of Wayne's passing. I had the distinct pleasure of being a young Juvenile Officer that worked in the Kenilworth Detective Branch during the time the Detective team of Wayne Clark & Bud Black worked there.
For the rest of my career, these two guys represented the best of what I thought a Detective should be. Besides being two very accomplished investigators, every day they brought humour and compassion to the office.
Your picture of Wayne smiling is so representative of his nature. Wayne smiled so much that when he spoke to you he seemed to be talking with an accent of a smile.
May your beautiful memories of Wayne help lighten the load of your journey ahead.

As a young cadet in 1978, there were three respected “senior officers” that I looked forward to seeing at the back counter or hearing their voices on the telephone. Sgt Clark and his partner, Sgt Black were two of them. They treated me as special, as an equal and not an underling or “just a cadet”. My deepest sympathies to Colleen and the entire crew of Clark’s. May your memories remain forefront in your minds and in your hearts. Respectfully, Mike Cole

Colleen, kids and grandkids---
So sorry to hear of Wayne's passing. I worked for Wayne (he'd get upset at that because he'd always say the squad worked together) at Kenilworth for two years, then as a resource when he worked with Bud. He was looked up to by everyone and had a great sense of humour. And he didn't tolerate laziness or stupidity which made everyone respect him even more. Above all he was fair----fair to his police brothers, and fair to all who crossed his path. We will miss him.
Prayers to the family.
Rest in peace big guy.
