Obituary of Bill Scott

SCOTT, William Robert Michael "Bill" of Port Dover lost his battle with cancer at Norfolk General Hospital on Sunday, August 18, 2024 in his 77th year. Loving husband of Judith Scott (Johnston). Dearly loved father and father-in-law of James Scott (Tracy Matthews) of Simcoe, Joe Scott (Kristen Banfield) of Port Dover. Will be missed by his step-children Thomas Hallford (Tori), Rebecca Hallford (Kyle), Hilary Johnston (Peter), Vanessa Johnston and Victoria Johnston all of Hamilton.  Loving grandpa of Cody Scott (Bri), Kiera Scott, Warren Scott, Cam Matthews, Victoria Scott, Summer Scott, Alexis McKenzie ( Dylan), Emma Jamieson, Zachary Hallford, Cohen Chamberlain, Lochan Chamberlain, Arwen Chamberlain, Julia Mostacci, Sofia Mostacci,  and great-grandpa of Layla Scott, Luca Scott, Zayden Scott, Everrett Scott, Ellie McKenzie, Charlie-Anne McKenzie, and Elijah McKenzie. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Vinnie Scott (Sandy) of Waterford, Bob Scott (Peggy) of Port Dover, Shirley King of Halifax, and Deanna Scott of Port Dover. He will be fondly remembered by his many, many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his first wife Glennis (2012), his mother Ruth Scott, his brothers Russell and Chuck. Bill spent many years as a Commercial Fisherman, first as the Captain of the Lynn Dover and then fished with his brother Vinnie on the MMK and the JP Siddall. Friends are invited to share their memories of Bill at visitation at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME, 102 First Ave. Port Dover 519-583-1530 on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 7 pm to 9 pm. A Service to Celebrate Bill's life will be held in the funeral home Chapel on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at 1 pm. Pastor Dennis Wright officiating. Interment Port Dover Cemetery.
