Obituary of Anne Law

LAW Anne, It is with sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Anne Law of Port Dover on January 6, 2025, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's/Dementia that stole her beautiful sparkle and spirit.  Anne was the heart of our home and family. Predeceased by husband Carl. (2020) Mum to Chad, Neal, Staci and her husband Tibor.  "Mama" to Jennifer (Travis), Lexi and Jilli. Great Grandma to Ryder and Lawsyn.  Sister to Ora Powell who was her best friend and closest confidant.  Loving Sister-in-Law to Bonnie and Murray Huffman.  Anne is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins, all who will hold great memories of her laughter and spirit.  Predeceased by parents Alice and Elmer Lewis, brother Paul Lewis and daughter Barbara. Anne was a seeker of fun and laughter.  She shared many adventures with her friends and family while swimming (hosting the summer Olympics), shopping, playing games or hitting the road to explore someplace new.  She will always be remembered for her gift of gab (she could never just run into a store without seeing someone she needed to talk to!) and the joy she brought to the lives of so many. Anne wore many hats over the years including all positions at her parents' grocery store Lewis' Foodland, making the "best" pizzas at Lighthouse Pizza, a dedicated school bus driver for over 20 years to many children of Port Dover and a grocery delivery and/or driver for those in need. She was always willing to help whenever she could. A special thank you to her lifelong friend Helena Hunter for all her love and support over their many years of friendship but especially over the last year while Mum was concluding her journey. Friends are invited to meet with family on Saturday January11, 2025 from 2pm to 4pm at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME  102 First Ave Port Dover 519-583-1530. For those wishing, donations  to the HALDIMAND NORFOLK ALZHEIMERS SOCIETY would be appreciated. Online donations and or  condolences can be made at.www.thompsonwatersfuneralhome.ca
