Last Thursday, we said goodbye to Jim McIntyre, Nick’s mentor and our friend. It’s hard to put in a few words, the role Jim played in our life. He allowed Nick the opportunity to partner with him 25 years ago when Nick was a new advisor with The Mutual Group. We worked with him for 12 years in the Thompson Building. There was nothing he liked better than to play a successful prank on an unsuspecting friend or co-worker. We also saw, on a daily basis, how big Jim’s heart was. He was an quiet advocate for many people. We’ve been sharing many stories with Susan the last few days. He made a difference to so many people, including us. We will miss him. Jim, we know you are holding a 50 and looking for your next victim.

Dear Susan & all Jim’s family : what can I say about this guy who was so well thought of in Port Dover except that his kindness to others & his humour will be greatly missed ! At the RBC, he would always have a smile when he came through the door & was there for me if I ever needed his help with a charity endeavour. I gave him a poem ‘When I am an old lady I can wear purple”. The next day he brought me one called “When I am an old man I will wear plaid “ ! Lol Susan I think you know how highly we thought of your husband & he will never be forgotten . I know he is waiting for us up ahead just around the corner listening to the laughter he has left us all with his memories! I pray God wraps His arms around you now & gives you comfort through a sad time. RIP Jim.
