Bryan and Pat McKee send our sincere condolences to Elizabeth and family following the loss of their husband, father, and friend John Blakemore Sr. We have fond memories of our times at St. Jude's Church Brantford and most recently as the drummer and sound expert for our Praise and Pizza Services and both St. Jude's and later Grace Anglican Churches. So sorry to hear of John's passing. I will miss seeing his smiling face and talking with him as my close neighbor. I had come to consider him a great friend, even though I have only known him a short time while trying to put a band together. Our band will miss him on drums!

I can share many memories of John but some of the greatest were his creative programs with the kids at Teeterville School and our times together as we both grew cucumbers one summer. He always went the second mile in whatever he planned. He launched out into the deep many times but the best was his venture into teaching about the Norfolk County Fair. The pictures the kids collected were excellent and he topped it off, much to the dismay of the supervisory staff, with a chosen group of kids taking aerial pictures of the fair grounds in a helicopter. John never did half a project. I had the greatest respect for him and will remember him fondly.

Dear Elizabeth and family,
I was saddened to hear of John's passing. I enjoyed my time working with John at Doverwood. He was a very kind and caring man. I enjoyed working with him on many pictures he framed for me. He was very talented. We love the shadow box he made for my husband to remember his father in WW2.
